Most people will tell you that separation and divorce are the most painful and stressful experiences they’ve ever faced. It’s a confusing time when you feel isolated and have lots of questions about issues you’ve never faced before.

We want to help you on your journey toward recovery. Don’t try to go through separation or divorce alone. Link up with our DivorceCare recovery support group. It’s a place where you’ll find caring people who understand the issues you face, and it’s a place where you can build on the right foundation to help you find your footing.

DivorceCare meets weekly to help you face these challenges and move toward rebuilding your life. Each DivorceCare session has two distinct elements:

A Seminar with Experts
During the first 30–40 minutes of the meeting, each DivorceCare group watches a video seminar featuring top experts on divorce and recovery subjects. These videos are produced in an interesting-to-watch television magazine format featuring expert interviews, real-life case studies and on-location video.

A Support Group with Focus
After viewing the video, the DivorceCare group participants spend time as a support group, discussing what was presented and what is going on in the lives of group members.

Our Santa Clarita Churches provides Pre-Marriage Counseling to All

Santa Clarita Churches provide Pre-Marriage Counseling:

Pre-marital counseling is offered by Santa Clarita Churches for those would like to get married and understands God’s view of marriage.

The polls reveal that over 50% of marriages end in divorce.  For many, it has become “until divorce do us part.”  The truth is most engaged couples prepare more for their wedding than they do for their marriage.

The Heart of the Canyons Pre-Marital Course involves five weeks examining the necessity of a spiritual foundation for marriage, as well as pointers on finances, expectations, roles, personality issues, children and parenting, resolving conflicts, leisure activities and communication.

We believe that marriage was instituted by God and will succeed through a personal commitment to Jesus Christ, each other and the local church.

Heart of the Canyons Church is Baptist Church Canyon Country that meets at LaMesa Junior High in Canyon Country.  The church office is at 21618 Golden Triangle Road, #201.  The telephone number is 661-255-7246.  The Baptist Church is independent i.e., it is not part of any national organization, or convention. They believe in the Bible in its entirety. The Baptist Church Canyon Country is a very welcoming Church in that every member of the family feels at home – there is something for everybody. Music is an integral part of the church, and the choir sings songs of praise that lift the heart. There is great emphasis on learning what the Bible has to say, and what it means.

There is a Youth service and Sunday school for the children. The members and attendees at Baptist Church Canyon Country are taught to understand the purpose of God and how we are supposed to live our lives on this earth. Praying daily, taking the name of the Lord and thanking him for all that he has provided are some of the teachings . Those who are preparing for marriage are given guidance by the  pastors. Couples learn the purpose of marriage, the responsibilities attached to bringing children into this world and the way they have to be brought up in life. They are also taught that marriage is of course a serious issue and they should not take it lightly. The couples are made aware that they have to be loyal and honest to each other and protect each other at all times.

There are opportunities for the members of the Baptist Church Canyon Country to help in the local community whether it is in the hospital, at Help the Children, or to repair the homes of those who cannot afford professional help.

The Pastor, Church Administrator and the Elders are always available. The website and prayer chains keep the whole family of the Baptist Church, Canyon Country connected so that as many needs as possible can be met.

Contemporary Christian Church Canyon Country

Churches, increasingly are either incorporating contemporary elements into the traditional form of worship, or are opening separate contemporary churches where worship is more freeform. It is important for the church to move with the times so that it can remain the point of focus for the young, more so, because youth is the most difficult time of life. It is the main aim of the Contemporary Christian Church Canyon Country to see to it that especially children and young adults grow in Jesus Christ.

To this end, the order of worship, the music used and other programs are designed to be relevant to the age group for which they have been created. Everything is planned in a manner that is concurrent with the times. At the same time, the Contemporary Christian Church Canyon Country creates a safe place for people to grow. It is a place where the members help each other to understand the fast-moving and often incomprehensible changes that are taking place globally. Naturally, these global changes have a local effect. In the Contemporary Church the family is still the most important unit and there is something for every member in the family.

There are Children’s Ministries, Ministries for Junior High as well as Senior High School, and Ministries for the young adults. Biblical counseling is available for those who are contemplating marriage at the Contemporary Christian Church Canyon Country. There is also counseling available for those who are married. Hospital care is an important ministry and there are teams of members who help with supplying food to those who are in hospital, as well as for those families who are in distress due to illness, surgery, or are busy with a new born baby.

This kind of  out-reach from the church to members of the local community inculcates the spirit of service and giving at Contemporary Christian Church Canyon Country. This then translates into reaching out to the larger world. There is help available for those who are victims of substance abuse, so that they can be lovingly rehabilitated into the church and community. Bible studies are very much a part of the Contemporary Church, so that members study the word of the Lord in depth and use it as a guiding light to live their own lives. Fun activities that the Church plans help build stronger bonds.

To make things new on this earth, Christians at the Contemporary Christian Church Canyon believe that Jesus will come again to save people.  They believe Jesus came to earth as a man, was crucified on a cross, was buried and rose again so people who believe in him can have everlasting life. Christ alone justifies the faith that they have for Him. Because of their powerful faith in Jesus, Christian people are saved by His loving grace.

Contemporary Church Canyon Country

There was a time not so long ago when declining membership in churches was a source of great worry and concern. It is a recognized fact that there has to be a focal point for people and what better than a church where you learn the word of God and get a road map for the kind of person you ought to be. Heart of the Canyons Church, the Contemporary Church Canyon Country realized that in order to be meaningful in the present context to a broad age-group, the church services have to either blend contemporary elements into the traditional services, or have separate contemporary services for the younger generation.

The youth at Heart of the Canyons Church, a  Contemporary Church Canyon Country meet on Wednesday evenings and at 10:45 on Sunday mornings at laMesa Junior High. These services are naturally youth-oriented. The messages deal directly with the issues and concerns that the young are dealing with. The question arises – what is the difference between traditional church services and contemporary church services. Traditional services use a prescribed order of worship. Contemporary services are more freeform. At Heart of the Canyons  Church, a Contemporary Church Canyon Country, corporate worship in the main services blends traditional and contemporary worship. There are Bible studies for members of all age groups. It is believed that a family that prays together stays together. Consequently, there is a service for children, young people of Junior High School and those who are in Senior High School.

There are small groups for men, women and families. There are separate counseling groups for those who are planning to get married, and for couples. In all their programs, there is a deep underlying concern for the well-being of others.

The Contemporary Church Canyon Country runs a  special program called Care Ministry. Within this ministry, there are teams of people who work on a rotation basis for various Ministries. For instance, there is a Hospital Ministry, where a team works with those who are in hospital or are confined at home; a Meal Ministry, where the members who form a team ensure that families where there is a new born baby, or there is some illness, or surgery, have food to eat and are cared for.

This service is also extended to homes where there has been an accident or maybe death; a Prayer Chain, where the team receives prayer requests. These requests can be sent to Contemporary Church Canyon Country either by telephone or email. The team prays for that need, and then passes it onto the next person in the chain. Likewise, there are teams that deal in the same manner with grief – Grief Share, and divorce – Divorce Care.

The Contemporary Church Canyon Country has teachings for all groups of people, be it youth, children, adults and families. Special sessions are held for the youth to give them proper guidance during their most important years of their life. Teachings like speaking the truth always, having respect for elders and having faith in God, are some of the things taught to  youth, who are exposed by and pressured to give into to what society says is okay, rather than biblical truths taught by the church.

Evangelical Christian Church Santa Clarita

Heart of the Canyons church, the Evangelical Christian Church in Santa Clarita has as its guiding light, the words of Jesus which state: Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20. The members of Evangelical Christian Church Santa Clarita believe that this is the Great Commission that has been given to them. They are to go and make disciples, baptize them, and teach them to obey the word of God.

The Great Commandment that the Evangelical Christian Church believes in is: ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with your entire mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” Matt. 22:37-40. It is these – the Great Commandment and the Great Commission that create the main elements of this Evangelical Church. From this have grown Fellowship, Discipleship, Ministry and Evangelism!

Not only are the members of the Evangelical Christian Church Santa Clarita supportive of each other, but their focus is in their growing in faith. In the Evangelical Christian Church there is great music and the sermons are very inspiring. The church itself has a casual atmosphere, because the members believe in dealing with real life issues and do not want to be distracted by externals. There is a Children’s Ministry, a Junior High Ministry, and a High School Ministry. The main aim is to develop a Christ-like maturity in all those who worship here. Further, the church equips the members to help in the in-house ministry programs and also to go as missionaries into the world.

It is through Bible study that the parishioners of Evangelical Christian Church Santa Clarita understand what their mission in life is. Studying the Bible also helps them to grow spiritually. Thus, through Worship they express their love for Jesus, through Fellowship they build meaningful relationships, through Discipleship, they learn how to equip themselves to live deeply Christian lives and to serve, and lastly, through Evangelism, they learn to share God’s message.

The Evangelical Christian Church Santa Clarita understands that the house of the Lord is a place of worship of the Christian community, where all get together to praise the name of the Lord. Sunday is the common day, when the the congregation attends corporate worship with the entire family as followers of the Son of God, Lord Jesus Christ. This community strongly believes that God has called all of human kind to be together and live together as all humans belong to God alone. Lord Jesus Christ is believed by the congregation at Evangelical Christian Church Santa Clarita to be the center of human history and all people live for him.

The Bible which is ‘the’ holy book is also revered by the congregation as the authoritative word of God. Prophecies of the Old Testament that were fulfilled by Jesus, when He redeemed the people of God, with His life, His death, and His resurrection all which are grounded in the facts in history are the rules by which the congregation conducts themselves.
