Heart of the Canyons sponsors food, clothing and blood drives.  Special events are held where the community is invited for free food and games.  “Adopt a block” is coming soon where young people get together to repair homes, and help out in the neighborhood, especially with the elderly, the disabled, and the infirm. During the holidays we decorate and mail out shoe boxes to children around the world from the Church Santa Clarita. Adult daytime and evening Bible study classes are organized as is done in the Santa Clarita Christian Church.

Heart of the Canyons Church is affiliated with counselors and Celebrate Recovery to help those who are suffering from drug abuse.  These include programs where these people are taught to come to terms with them and rebuild their life.  Church of Santa Clarita can be your spiritual home.  The Church Santa Clarita seeks to help each other grow in compassion, generosity and wisdom.

Arise is another outreach event organized by the Santa Clarita Christian Churches.  It’s October 10th from 12:30 to 4:00 at LaMesa Junior High.  There will be a dodge ball tournament and a free concert.  This is also an outreach event for those seeking good, clean SCV fellowship and fun.

The Bible Church Santa Clarita is a group of Christians, which is made up people having faith as well as belief in Jesus Christ. The origin of the church dates back to a traditional view that strongly identifies with the role of the church as one more than just committed to ritual.

People who are distressed or are facing huge problems are helped to find solutions for life’s problems, struggles and challenges. They believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and believe in Christian fellowship with other believers. They are people who are determined to live according to the word of the Lord. The Santa Clarita fellowship is led by Pastor Jim Ryan, and the church has elders, trustees and ministry directors and leaders.

Heart of the Canyon’s is a Purpose Driven model with the Bible as its foundation.  It has  an intentional emphasis on the Great Commandment (Matthew 22:37-40) and the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20).

Jesus gave the Great Commandment when he was asked to identify the most important of God’s commands.

Jesus replied: ” ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” Matt. 22:37-40
